UNPACK. SETTLE IN. WE’LL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING ELSE.

A 3-toed sloth baby clinging to its mother, a troop of capuchin monkeys, a hummingbird in its nest, green iquanas, brilliantly-colored ‘mini’ frogs, and even upside-down jellyfish — we saw it all at Tranquilo Bay! For a wildlife, rainforest and ocean experience all rolled into one, nothing can match Tranquilo Bay. The whole staff, including expert guides, will insure that you have the best time while enjoying a beautiful tropical environment and delicious food!

LET YOUR ADVENTURE BEGIN

UNPACK. SETTLE IN. WE’LL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING ELSE.

  • THE VIEW

Tranquilo Bays latest eco-adventure soars 100’ above sea level; bringing you to the top of the forest canopy for a panoramic birds-eye view of three distinctly different ecosystems within Bastimentos National Marine Park. The bird watching, wildlife and photo opportunities from this incredible vantage point are truly sublime.

  • CREATURE COMFORTS

No need to give up your creature comforts here. Hot showers, air-conditioning, a comfortable bed, and handcrafted meals made with fresh local ingredients welcome you at the end of your adventures each day. Communal dining and private cabanas allow you to both share time with other guests and have your own private space.

  • SPACE TO ROAM

Our nature preserve encompasses 200 plus heavily forested acres of Panama’s Western Caribbean Coast and over a kilometer of Caribbean coastline. The three distinct ecosystems, biodiversity and wildlife thrive within the preserve. Over 75% of the preserve has been left in its natural state.

  • OFF THE BEATEN PATH

Using Tranquilo Bay as your base camp positions you to see and do more. If you are into eco-adventures such as birding and wildlife watching, hiking, snorkeling the coral reef, kayaking or forest ecology, be prepared for the experience of a lifetime.

  • EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

    EDUCATIONAL

Our biologist guides use hiking, kayaking and snorkeling to explore the diverse range of habitats in the area. All of our excursions tread lightly on the area's natural resources.

  • LONGEVITY

Since July 2005, we as owner-operators, work hard with our employees to exceed your expectations. All of our staff are passionate about observing wildlife and supporting individuals, families, and groups.
